Extreme weather slams US as storms and heat waves come in from both coasts

Extreme weather is affecting millions in the United Sates. Flooding and tornadoes hit the east as Tropical Storm Claudette slammed several states, destroying homes and knocking out power.

Meanwhile, a megadrought continues to hammer the western U.S., bringing in blistering heat conditions, with Las Vegas even shattering an 81-year-old temperature record at over 45 degrees Celsius. Jennifer Johnson reports.
